Safari manor on a private game reserve with waterhole views
Overview
Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor sits on the Khaya Ndlovu Game Reserve, 6 km from Hoedspruit, with views of the Drakensberg Mountains and the savannah. The infinity pool overlooks a waterhole where giraffes, zebras, and antelopes gather daily, viewable from the pool deck and dining area. Guests have access to an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness centre, and sun loungers or beach chairs.
Rooms
Each room at Khaya Ndlovu offers garden views, air-conditioning, and beds draped in mosquito nets. The Manor House contains a three-bedroom wing (rooms 1, 2, and 3) with a private entrance area, suitable for families. Leadwood Suite and Meru-style tents are available, with tents featuring private verandahs overlooking the waterhole.
Dining
Breakfast is served daily on the pool deck, with a blend of South African and contemporary dishes offered for dinner in the dining room or under the stars around an open fire. The Boma dinners on Tuesdays and Fridays feature a braai (BBQ) with a firepit at the centre. The kitchen accommodates vegan diets upon request, and a kid-friendly buffet and special diet menus are available.
Activities & Game Drives
Staff can arrange game drives on the Big 4 Rietspruit Game Reserve, as well as private day tours into Kruger National Park or day trips along the Panoramic Route including Pilgrim's Rest and Blyde River Canyon. Morning and afternoon game drives each last about 3.5 hours, with knowledgeable guides and trackers. Guests can also book walking safaris and visits to the animal rehabilitation centre.
Wellness & Spa
The spa offers back massages, couples massage, foot massage, full body massage, hand massage, head massage, neck massage, and facial treatments, all in a secluded spot overlooking the savannah. Spa facilities include treatment rooms and sun loungers. The infinity pool has a pool bar and is open all year, with pool/beach towels provided.
